Essence of Egypt is more than just a skincare brand; it’s the fulfilment of a dream born in a small, close-knit Scottish family. Our story was sparked by a deep fascination with the natural healing power of essential oils and ancient Egyptian botanicals. What started as a personal journey to find healthier, more natural skincare options soon grew into a passion for crafting products that capture the essence of nature while being gentle on the skin.

Our vision was simple yet profound: ‘to marry ancient wisdom with modern science’, creating skincare that not only nurtures the skin but also honours the planet. It took time to perfect our approach, meticulously selecting the purest ingredients and refining our methods. Our home kitchen served as a makeshift laboratory, where we passionately tested and perfected our formulations, guided by a commitment to purity, efficacy, and sustainability. Over time, our dedication led us to expand from our kitchen to a new factory, where our journey continues.

We are committed to being honest, by educating our customers how we use nothing but clean, natural skincare ingredients from Mother Earth; and the life-giving and nurturing benefits they bring.

Importantly, we use only the ingredients that are necessary in our recipes; rather than 40 or 50 components that we often find in many other skincare products on the market.

We would never use any of the potent ingredients to be found in modern skincare such as PEG’s (including polyethylene glycol used in car engines), paraben’s, formaldehyde, parfum (synthetic, manufactured fragrances), triclosan and others with unpronounceable names.

Our journey began with a simple mission: to create skincare that’s as pure and effective as nature intended. Over the years, our dedication to this mission has only deepened, driving us to refine our processes and expand our offerings. Every product we make is a reflection of our family’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and the timeless principles of natural beauty.

We’re proud to support Guide Dogs, a charity that provides life-changing services for adults, children, and young people affected by sight loss. Our commitment extends beyond skincare; we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to contribute to the incredible work Guide Dogs does, helping those in need regain independence and confidence.
